Postcard from the 1907 Irish International Exhibition, Dublin

Caroline Malloy is a graduate student in the Department of Art History. Her research focuses on Ireland in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, especially at International Exhibitions. She is particularly interested in the actual construction of Irishness through Irish Villages at World's Fairs, and their similarities to the other colonial villages at these international events. She recently presented sections of her MA thesis, "'O tempora, O mores!': Problems of National Representation at the 1907 Irish International Exhibition" at the Annual Meeting of the American Conference for Irish Studies in New York City.
